A day in 2DP generally follows the structure of literacy in the morning, maths in the middle session and other KLA's (COGS) in the afternoon. During these sessions we focus on cooperative learning strategies. This has resulted in improved student engagement. At both whole school assemblies we have been the recipients of awards for excellent behaviour.

 Children love to go to the media room to use the smartboard. all children have had a turn at using the smartboard to familiarize themselves with it and as a maths lessons. 2DP also love to play maths games, we try to incorporate these on a weekly basis to coincide with what we are learning for the week.

This year we visit the jetty theatre to watch the play "pearlie in the park" and a Laurie Lawrence swim safe presentation.

In term 2 we went to Mutton Bird Island as part of our reward day.

Homework is sent home on Monday and is to be returned to school Friday.

We are endeavoring to promote home reading and its importance, support from all parents be appreciated.

Variations to the class timetable are; Thursday: library, sport.
