My aim this year is to provide a happy, safe, fun learning environment.  In doing so, I hope to boost the self-esteem of all children and help them to develop a love of learning.  We believe we are "The Best Class in the School".

In 1SD we have started to write letters to each other to encourage writing for enjoyment.  The children love getting mail and have responded enthusiastically.  Another favourite subject is Math's Groups on Friday mornings

The Year 1 Parent Barbecue breakfast was held recently.  We also have a focused date this term.  This will be on a healthy living theme and will take place at the end of March.

 we are trying to encourage home reading every night.  We are very lucky to have parents who come into the room three times a week to listen to our children read.
